‘Shri Gajanan Maharaj America Parivar (ShriGMAP)’ is an initiative to unite HIS devotees in North America under a single umbrella. This group emerged out of a small monthly gathering of devotee families from Los Angeles metro area and South Florida area in order to create and enjoy a spiritual experience mutually. It is a multi-fold activity serving many purposes as follows –
To cleanse one’s soul, body and surrounding space polluted by the negative energy in the universe by chanting HIS divine mantra ‘Gan Gan Ganat Botey’, on a regular basis.
To introduce HIM and HIS powerful teachings to the budding generation (born and/or growing up here in North America) This is an extremely difficult or a near-impossible task in the absence of a ‘community’ environment which is essential to create a convincing, attracting and rewarding experience for the kids
To search, reach and connect with fellow devotees in the local area to form a group of like-minded people. Such kind of a bonding has always been proved out to be instrumental in motivating, inspiring, and helping in navigating individuals passing through a tough phase of the life.
To help under-privileged individuals/communities in India as well as North America in the form of a group charity i.e. canned food drive.
A Facebook Page (Shri Gajanan Maharaj America Parivar) is created to provide a common platform for all online activities.
Over a period of last 5 years, this group has expanded to cover the devotees from various corners of USA . This ultimately resulted in the need for providing a common platform/umbrella for all and ‘Shri Gajanan Maharaj America Parivar was born. With HIS blessing, this ‘little birdie’ will soar into the sky very soon!!
